Salalah: In the five-aside Asia Hockey Cup match, Pakistan defeated traditional rivals India.

Pakistan defeated India by 5 goals to 4 after a nerve-wracking match in the ongoing five-aside Asia Hockey Cup in Salalah, Oman.

On behalf of Pakistan, Arshad Liaquat scored 2 goals, Zakaria Hayat, Abdul Rehman and Rana Abdul Waheed scored one goal each.

President Pakistan Hockey Federation Brigadier (retd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar has announced a prize of $100 per player for showing excellent performance against India.

11 teams are participating in the five-sided Asia Cup, including teams from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and the host country Oman.
