The Punjab Healthcare Commission has stopped the admission of patients in 3 private hospitals due to non-standard arrangements and poor sanitation.
According to the spokesperson, the Punjab Healthcare Commission inspected 8 private hospitals in Lahore.
A PHC spokesperson said that the medicine storage of a private hospital was sealed for keeping expired medicines.
The spokesman said that operation theaters of 4 private hospitals were sealed due to poor arrangements.
Blood bank and ultrasound services of two private hospitals were also suspended.
The managements of private hospitals have been directed to appear before the PHC committees.
The spokesman further said that the sealed or suspended services cannot be resumed until further instructions from the commission.
