The Sindh High Court dismissed the application against the appointment of caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Muqoob Baqir as inadmissible.
Sindh High Court heard a petition against the appointment of caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Muqoob Baqir.
The Sindh High Court issued a short order rejecting the petition and said that a detailed decision would be given later.
The petitioner, Ibrahim Abro Advocate, took the stand in the petition that Justice (R) Muqoob Baqir retired from the Supreme Court on April 4, 2022, under Article 207 of the Constitution, Justice (R) Muqoob Baqir cannot become the interim Chief Minister.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh remarked that Maqbool Baqir is a retired judge of the Supreme Court, the lawyer should speak respectfully.
Justice Yusuf Ali Saeed said that the petitioners are quoting the wrong law, they should refer to the Pakistan Services Rules.
