Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says he strongly supports the BRICS group’s efforts to reduce dependence on the US dollar.
Addressing the 15th summit of the BRICS Organization of Emerging Economies in South Africa, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that BRICS supports trade and economic affairs in local currencies among members to reduce dependence on the dollar.
He said that the BRICS agenda supports the cooperation of member countries in energy and trade sectors with Iran.
Iran has also been invited to join the BRICS organization today.
