The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has issued a clarification message saying that there has been no increase in the price of medicines.
In a statement, Drape said that the government has fixed the price of 25 newly registered drugs, all 25 are new drugs, which were not registered in Pakistan before.
All 25 drugs are being offered for sale in the market for the first time.
The explanatory statement also states that the new drug has been registered in combination with paracetamol, without any increase in the price of plain paracetamol.
It should be noted that earlier the news came out that the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) had issued a notification for the new prices of various medicines.
The Drape announcement said that the new prices of medicines announced include injections, tablets, inhalers and syrups for various diseases.
The notification said that the prices of new salts, formulations, strength drugs have been capped, while blood pressure and blood vessel dilators have been fixed.
