PSL players visit SSU headquarters

In connection with Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8, a delegation of 20 players from franchises in Karachi visited the Special Security Unit (SSU) headquarters and appreciated the professional standards maintained in the unit.

Apart from domestic players of Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, foreign players Martin Guptill, Yohan Botha and Ben Cutting were also included in the delegation.

Other visiting Pakistani players included Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Faheem Ashraf, Umar Akmal, Haider Ali, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz, Ruman Raees and Abrar Ahmed.

DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed welcomed the players on their arrival at the headquarters and met them.

DIG Security apprised the players about the sacrifices made and steps taken for the revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

The players also practiced shooting in the indoor firing range of the Special Security Unit.

Later, the team representatives presented their respective team jerseys as souvenirs to DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed.

DIG Security also gifted the players with honorary shields and Sindhi caps.
