Medicines for many diseases including heart, diabetes, blood pressure and epilepsy disappeared from the markets in Peshawar.
With the disappearance of medicines from the market, the problems of the patients increased.
Patients have complained that drugs for various diseases are being sold in black market at high prices in Peshawar.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Chemist and Drug Association blamed the non-availability of medicines on the pharmaceutical companies.
The association stated that the material used in medicines has become expensive, due to which companies have reduced the supply of medicines.
The association attributed the increase in prices of medicines to shortages.
