The Indian cricket team for the Asia Cup has been announced.
The Indian Cricket Board has announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup and retained Rohit Sharma as the captain of the team.
KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah are back in the team.
Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel and Shirdal Thakur are part of the squad.
Apart from this, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasad Krishna are included in the squad.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma while talking to the media along with chief selector Ajit Agarkar said that not only Pakistan but also other teams are playing good cricket, we have to prepare to play against all teams.
He said that I don’t think about being declared as favorite or underdog in the World Cup, we have to play only the best cricket at every level, there should be players in the team who can bat at any number.
Rohit Sharma says that he has given a message to all the players that they will have to bat in that position where needed, options and doors are open for all the players including Chahal and Ashwin.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar has said that KL Rahul is not fully fit, hence keeping Sanju Samson as backup.
