Health experts say that 75 lakh people are suffering from diabetes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A symposium was organized in Peshawar on prevention of diabetes and awareness of this disease organized by Pakistan Endocrine Society.
In the symposium, health experts said that there are 75 lakh people who have diabetes but they do not know about this disease.
According to the data of the Department of Health, the number of people suffering from diabetes in Pakistan is more than 33 million, so every fifth person in Pakistan is suffering from diabetes.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, people between the ages of 20 and 40 are becoming diabetic patients.
The increase in diabetes patients is due to unbalanced diet and lack of awareness.
