Ayesha Naseem, the young batsman of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, has decided to retire from cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tried to get the aggressive cricketer to withdraw the decision, but the PCB’s efforts were not successful.
Sources said that Ayesha Naseem informed the Pakistan Cricket Board some time ago that she did not want to play anymore, it was during the days when she was suffering from injuries.
However, PCB on this occasion tried to explain the decision as emotional. A senior player of the Pakistan Women’s team was also asked to speak to Ayesha.
Sources say that PCB wants to wait for Ayesha’s response till the decision on the central contract, but Ayesha Naseem is still sticking to her decision.
According to the sources, Ayesha never informed the Pakistan Cricket Board about the reasons behind her decision to retire so early.
Ayesha, who made her debut for Pakistan in 2020, has so far represented Pakistan in four ODIs and 30 T20 matches.
