In the US state of South Carolina, a child had to be taken to the hospital after drinking too much water.
According to American media, 10-year-old Ray Jordan drank 6 bottles of water in about an hour on July 4.
Ray’s mother, Stacey Jordan, said he had gone outside to play with his cousins, and after a while he went inside and took some water that we didn’t realize.
They said that he drank 6 bottles between 8:30 and 9:30 and by 10:30 his condition had worsened, the child was unable to control himself.
The child’s mother said that on being taken to the hospital, doctors treated the child for 8 hours to expel water from the body through urine.
According to the American media, the child has now made a full and proper recovery.
In this regard, experts say that drinking too much water fills the kidneys.
