The Pakistani team had a disappointing start in the Asian Athletics Championship, Abdul Moeed Baloch of Pakistan failed in the 400 meters on the first day.
Abdul Moeed completed the 400m heats in 48.18 seconds, finishing 22nd out of 28 runners.
Pakistani sprinter Abdul Moeed finished two and a half seconds behind his personal best time.
He would have qualified even if he clocked his personal best time of 46.73, now he has failed to reach the semi-finals.
The last athlete to qualify for the 400m semi-finals clocked 47.52 seconds.
Pakistan’s Shajar Abbas will be in action tomorrow in the men’s 100m heats at the Asian Championships.
