On the alleged irregularities in the Pakistan Cricket Board, the federal government has decided to conduct an audit of the tenure of the PCB Management Committee.
A letter has been written to the Auditor General of Pakistan to conduct an audit of Najam Sethi’s tenure.
The letter said that the Auditor General should immediately start an audit of PSL-8 as well and a full audit of the expenditure incurred during the Najam Sethi era should be conducted.
The letter states that the Auditor General should start the audit from December 22, 2022 to June 20, 2023 without delay.
In this regard, the audit authorities will also review the privileges given to the members of the temporary management committee including Najam Sethi.
The federal government had received complaints about unnecessary expenditure by the PCB Management Committee.
It should be noted that the federal government had formed a temporary management committee of PCB in December 2022.
