Pakistan won two more gold medals at the Special Olympics World Games.
Muhammad Luqman of Pakistan won the gold medal in the 100m race of the Special World Games. He completed this distance in 15.21 seconds. Mohammad Luqman also won the silver medal by securing second position in long jump.
In powerlifting, Pakistan’s Habibullah won the gold medal in the deadlift in the 83 kg weight category, while he also won silver medals in the squat, bench press and combined weight.
Pakistan’s Mirwaiz won the silver medal in the 3000m race. Mirwaiz completed the distance in 10 minutes and 11 seconds.
Pakistan has won a total of 9 gold medals in the Special Olympics World Games so far.
Pakistan won the bronze medal in the field hockey mixed event. In the third place match, Pakistan defeated Paraguay by 3 goals to 2.
Hasan Patel of Pakistan won the bronze medal in 50m freestyle swimming.
Pakistan’s Sadia Junaid won the silver medal in the women’s singles event of the tennis event.
