Zimbabwe defeated West Indies

Zimbabwe defeated West Indies by 35 runs in the Cricket World Cup 2023 qualifier matches.

In the match played in Harare, the Zimbabwean team batted first and got out by scoring 268 runs on the fifth ball of the last over.

Sikandar Raza played an innings of 68 runs off 58 balls, Ryan Burrell scored full 50 runs. Apart from him, 47 runs were scored by opener Craig Irwin.

Kimo Paul took 3 wickets for West Indies.

In response, West Indies opener Kyle Mears played an innings of 56 runs, while in the middle order batting, no other batsman could show significant performance except Ruston Chase 44, Nicholas Puran 34 and Shai Hope 30 runs.

The West Indies team was bowled out for 233 runs in the 45th over and lost the crucial match by 35 runs.

Tendai Chatara took 3 wickets for Zimbabwe. Richard Grava, Blessing Mozarabani and Sikandar Raza took two wickets each.

In another World Cup Qualifier match, Netherlands easily beat Nepal by 7 wickets.

Nepal team was bowled out for 167 runs. Van Beek took 4 wickets. Netherlands achieved the target with the loss of 3 wickets.
