The National Institute of Health (NIH) has released a report on increasing cases of cancer in the country, according to which 269,202 cancer cases were reported during 5 years.

According to NIH, 53.61% of cancer cases were recorded in women and 46.7% in men. According to the report, mouth, colon, liver and lung cancers are common.
The National Institute of Health says that 3 out of every 4 people in Pakistan suffer from oral cancer. In Sindh, KP and Balochistan, excessive use of snuff has caused mouth cancer.
According to the report, colon cancer cases are increasing rapidly among the youth in Pakistan. The main cause of colon cancer is high consumption of fast food.
According to the report of the National Institute, even with significant changes in diet, cancer cases have started to increase. According to the report, National Cancer Registry Pakistan’s report on cancer is from 2015 to 2019.
