A former US Navy officer has given some practical tips for fitness.

Austin Alexander, 30, who lives in California, said getting out for a little exercise or a walk shouldn’t be an excuse, it should be part of the routine.

Alexander runs a fitness YouTube channel with over 1.2 million followers.

If you’re just starting to exercise for fitness, start small, says a former Navy officer.

Most people do hard work at once, which demotivates them.

Run for 10 minutes one week, run for 20 minutes the next week, do the same with light weight for the first week, increase the weight for the second week.

Alexander said that by stretching the arms and legs before exercise, the muscles are not ready for exercise.

He said to warm up, run instead of stretching.

If you are exercising on a daily basis, you need to drink more water.

According to the International Society of Sports Nutrition, water is the most important nutrient for athletes.

Instead of drinking large amounts of water at once, drink small amounts of water at regular intervals, says Alexander.
