Another important development has emerged on the Dasu Hydropower Project. According to a WAPDA statement, the first phase of the concrete starter dam of the project was completed before the high flow season.
As per the design, the concrete starter dam of Dasu project will be completed in 2 different phases, in the first phase the height of the starter dam is 785 meters above sea level.
According to the WAPDA statement, the height of the starter dam is 798 meters above the sea level in the second phase, the water of the Indus River is passing through 2 diversion tunnels of the Dasu Hydropower Project.
According to the design, some water of the Indus River is also flowing over the concrete starter dam, the second phase of the starter dam will start in October, and the completion is scheduled for the next low flow season.
