For the Asian Champions Trophy, Pakistan Hockey Federation had asked the Sports Board for Rs 3 crore, after which the Sports Board has released Rs 2.5 crore.
Pakistan Hockey Federation Secretary Haider Hussain received a check of Rs 2.5 crore from Pakistan Sports Board Director Finance and Audit Faizan Janjua and Accounts Officer Mohammad Ikram Bhatti yesterday in Islamabad.
The Pakistan Sports Board has released this amount to the Hockey Federation for the Asian Champions Trophy to be played in Chennai, India, which will be held from August 3 to 12 this year.
The camp of 45 players of Pakistan Hockey Team for Champions Trophy is going on at National Hockey Stadium Lahore these days.
According to reports, Secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation Haider Hussain had made a summary of Rs 3 crore to Director of Pakistan Sports Board Shoaib Khoso for the daily allowance of Asian Champions Trophy and Asian Junior Hockey Tournament held in Salah, Oman.
However, the sports board has released Rs 2.5 crore which includes the amount of daily allowance for the junior hockey tournament players.
Pakistan hockey team will leave for India via Wagah for the Asian Champions Trophy.
