England’s health alert has been raised from yellow to amber as heatwaves are expected over the weekend.
The Met Office says that from 9am on Friday to 9am on Monday, parts of eastern and western England will be affected by the heat.
People have been advised to avoid the heat and keep the curtains of the windows of the house closed.
