There has been progress in Iran-Saudi Arabia relations and today Iran is reopening its embassy in Saudi Arabia after 7 years.
The Iranian Embassy will be reopened at 6:00 PM local time.
Ambassador-designate Ali Raza Inayati will take charge at the embassy.
After serving as ambassador to Kuwait under former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Inayati currently holds the position of Deputy Foreign Minister.
It should be noted that diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia were restored in March with the mediation of China.
