Challengers beat Dynamites in Pakistan Cup Women’s ODI tournament.
Thanks to the excellent performances of Jawaria Khan, Noreen Yaqoob and Saima Malik, the challengers defeated Sidra Amin’s team by 7 runs and reached the final.
Chasing 191 runs, Dynamites team gave up after scoring 153 runs in 40.3 overs.
Alia Riaz’s innings of 61 runs did not work for the team, while Noreen Yaqoob and Saima Malik took three wickets each.
Jawaria Khan was declared the player of the match for playing an innings of 83 runs.
These two teams will once again face each other in a decisive match on Sunday.
Dynamites won the toss and elected to field in the final league match played at the State Bank Cricket Ground on Friday.
Challengers scored 160 runs for the loss of 7 players in the allotted 45 overs.
Jawaria Khan scored 83 runs with the help of 126 balls, his innings included 6 fours, Fariha Mehmood scored 29 runs while Nashrah Sindhu took two wickets.
Chasing the target, the Dynamites were bowled out for 153 runs in 40.3 overs.
Alia Riaz scored 61 runs and captain Sidra Amin scored 36 runs while Noreen Yaqoob and Saima Malik dismissed three players each.
The final of the tournament will be played on Sunday in which both these teams will be seen in action in the deciding stage.
