Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new building of the Indian Parliament in New Delhi, ignoring the boycott and harsh criticism of the opposition parties.
The inauguration of the new Parliament building was boycotted by 19 opposition parties including the Congress.
The opposition parties were of the opinion that the new Parliament building should be inaugurated by the President.
The Congress party says that one man’s arrogance and desire to promote himself has robbed Draupadi Murmu, the country’s first woman tribal president, of even inaugurating Parliament.
