Conducting matriculation and inter matric examinations without approval in Central district of Karachi

Karachi: “Centralized Examination System” has been implemented in hundreds of public primary schools in Central District of Karachi without the approval of the Sindh Government, in the style of Matriculation and Inter, and thousands of students of the fourth and fifth classes are taking annual examinations under the Central Examination System in the style of the Board. Forced to give

It should be noted that there is no such system in place at the level of primary education in the entire province, however, such arbitrary decisions are being taken by the District Education Officer of Central District. One of the worst examples of these decisions came on Saturday when the Urdu paper was suddenly withdrawn without any prior notice for the annual examinations of thousands of fourth and fifth grade students in hundreds of primary schools in Central District. While at the beginning of the annual exams, under the self-implemented centralized examination system, the Urdu paper of both parties was taken, but on Saturday, as soon as the students finished giving their last paper of the relevant subject as per the schedule, they were given it in the schools. He was stopped and told that due to unknown reasons he has to give the Urdu paper again today, so instead of going home, he should sit in the class room. Soon the Urdu paper will be ready and this paper will also have to be solved and then go home. can go

It should be noted that this decision was so sudden that some schools could not print out the paper immediately and the questions were written on the blackboard. The remarkable thing is that District Central Karachi is the only district in the whole of Sindh where the fourth and fifth The annual examinations of the parties are being centralized on matric or inter pattern. The examination papers are prepared from the district education office and come to the schools and the answer copies of the students from all the schools go to the district office or an assessment center for examination. It is not common in any other district, but in Karachi itself, government primary schools in other six districts conduct their own exams, make their own papers and do their own assessment.

It is being told that when the above mentioned system was introduced by the District Education Officer (DEO) Central in connection with the examinations, at the same time, the instruction was also issued that the teachers of one school will go to other schools to collect the papers and at the time of the papers No teacher will be present in his school, however, when the DEO got information that teachers in some schools were present in their own school at the time of Urdu paper, they gave orders to re-conduct the Urdu paper. These orders were so sudden. The students were also not informed that the Urdu paper would have to be given once again, however, when the students were instructed to stop after the last paper held as per the schedule and give the Urdu exam once again, they were surprised.

Reports were received from most of the schools that the students said that “we had given this paper at the beginning of the annual exams, now we are not prepared enough to give this paper again without reading it”. However, despite this complaint of the students, On the direction of the EO, the schools forced them to give the Urdu paper again. “Express” tried to contact the DEO Central Tahseen Fatima several times about this situation, but she did not answer the phone.

It should be noted that she is a close relative of one of the highest officers of Sindh and has been holding the said post for almost 7 years. Speaking Director School Education Primary also remains indifferent to the affairs of the schools of the said district and all higher officials are silent on the issue of implementation of Board style centralized examination system in primary schools of central district.

In addition, in this regard, “Express” contacted the Deputy District Officer of Central District, Arshad Ali, and asked him the reason for taking the Urdu paper again. Violation was reported on the basis of which this decision was taken. He was further asked if the students had any information regarding re-taking of the paper, to which he said ask the DEO, I can’t say anything. Asked whether this system is in use in other districts, on which he said to ask the officers there regarding other districts, I am responsible for my district, but when he was asked whether these decisions were approved by the department When she went, she said, “You should ask madam, she can tell you.”
Meanwhile, an attempt was made to contact the Secretary School Education to know the position of the department, but his mobile phone was switched off.
