The Election Commission has sent an emergency letter to the IG Sindh Police in which it has been ordered to cancel the transfer of SHOs of Karachi.
According to Express News, the SHOs of Karachi’s Zaman Town, Tipu Sultan and other police stations were transferred, after which the Election Commission has ordered the cancellation of these transfers.
In the text of the letter, the Election Commission has adopted a position that due to the election rules, there is a ban on the appointment and transfer of SHOs until the by-elections, so the transfer of SHOs of Karachi should be stopped immediately.
