The Taliban government was not invited to the 2-day meeting on the situation in Afghanistan in Qatar’s capital, Doha.
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres is presiding over the Doha meeting.
The United Nations says that the purpose of the meeting is to reach a consensus on human rights, including women, in Afghanistan.
To reach a common position on inclusive governance, counter-terrorism in Afghanistan.
The meeting will not discuss the recognition of the Taliban government.
Representatives of many countries including Pakistan, China, Iran, India, USA, UK have participated in the meeting.
