The Punjab Healthcare Commission has barred private clinics from admitting monkeypox patients.
The commission has directed private clinics to refer suspected monkeypox patients to designated government hospitals.
The Punjab Healthcare Commission has directed the private hospitals to ensure the identification of suspected monkeypox cases.
Monkeypox patients below 15 years of age should be referred to Children’s Hospital Lahore and patients above 15 years of age should be referred to Lahore General Hospital.
Private clinics have also been directed to report suspected, probable and confirmed cases of monkeypox to the concerned district health authority or the 1033 helpline.
