Director Public Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Focal Person Monkey Pox Dr. Irshad Ali has said that no case of Monkey Pox has been reported in Peshawar.
Talking to Geo News, Dr. Irshad Ali said that all preventive measures related to monkeypox are being taken.
Dr. Irshad Ali says that strict monitoring is being done on all passengers, especially those coming from Jeddah.
He said that the suspected case test and confirmed test patient will be quarantined in the hospital.
He says that surveillance of 150 passengers has been done at Peshawar Airport so far.
On the other hand, a health department team of 16 people was deployed at Bacha Khan Airport to prevent monkeypox virus.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has said that separate wards and rooms have been allocated for monkeypox patients.
The Department of Health says that the availability of protective equipment should be ensured for the medical staff during the treatment, monkey pox is a virus, fever, headache and rash on the body are the symptoms.
In this regard, medical experts say that this virus is transmitted to each other by touching and having sex.
Medical experts said that monkeypox is not a fatal disease, the patient recovers within a week to a month.
It should be noted that two cases of monkeypox have come to light in Pakistan and the health department has also confirmed it.
