Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s special assistant Ahad Cheema filed an application for acquittal.
The accountability court issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the request of Ahad Cheema and asked for a reply on April 28.
NAB has filed a reference of assets in excess of income against Ahad Cheema.
In the plea of acquittal, it has been stated that no evidence has come forward against Ahad Cheema.
It has been requested in the petition that Ahad Cheema be ordered to be acquitted from the reference.
