According to a US Journal report, the IMF wants assurances of more funding before an agreement on Pakistan’s aid.
The report said that the IMF wanted urgent financial assurances from Pakistan for the bailout agreement.
Nathan Porter, mission chief of the Fund for Pakistan, has given a statement regarding the agreement between Pakistan and the IMF.
Nathan Porter said that Pakistan and the IMF have agreed to maintain strong policies in the meetings.
He said that the need to get financial support for implementation of strong policies is also included in the agreement.
He added that the IMF is supporting Pakistan’s efforts, looking forward to getting the necessary financial assurances soon.
