It took almost a year for Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla to create this unique and beautiful saree for the American supermodel.
Gigi Hadid shared some pictures and a video from Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center on photo and video sharing app Instagram.
In the caption of her post, she wrote that the gala started with an exhibition titled ‘India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination’, which aims to inspire Indian culture and internationalize it. On the surface it was to be welcomed in terms of fashion’.
She wrote that it was an honor and a pleasure for me to showcase the beautiful sarees designed by Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
He further wrote that this Chikankari saree was made in Lucknow, India and it took one year to make it. All the women involved in the production of this saree are skilled in different types of stitching and this is remarkable for all these women. The craftsmanship is something I will never forget.
