Former Prime Minister and former captain of Pakistan cricket team Imran Khan has said that India dictates decisions with the arrogance of a cricket superpower.
Imran Khan while giving an interview to foreign media said that India has more capacity to generate revenue than other countries, there is arrogance in India’s attitude and it is running cricket as a super power.
Imran Khan said that India decides who should play and who should not play. Unfortunately, Pakistani cricketers are not in IPL due to the relationship between Pakistan and India.
He said that it is surprising to me that the Indian board has kept the Pakistani players out, it is the arrogance of India but now Pakistan also has a good quality Super League.
The former captain said that foreign players come to play in the Pakistan Super League, very good young cricketers are coming up in Pakistan, we should not worry about the Indian Cricket League.
Imran Khan said that when I started my career in England, there was open racism in cricket and county cricket. I played in England from 1971 to mid-80s.
“I am very busy these days, haven’t read much about cricket for 4 years,” he said.
Imran Khan said that after reading the Yorkshire County racism scandal, racism has decreased a little from the beginning to the end of my career.
“When I started playing there, there were racist remarks all the time in the ground, Pakistanis in North England also had to go through that,” he said.
