The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that in the first 8 months of the current financial year, foreign investors remitted 225.1 million dollars in profits.
According to the central bank, 188.1 million dollars earned through direct investment were sent out of Pakistan.
3.69 million dollars earned from external portfolio investment were remitted abroad.
In the first 8 months of the last financial year, foreign investors sent out a profit of 1.14 billion dollars.
According to the State Bank, foreign investors remitted $4.9 million in profits out of Pakistan in February.
Earnings from direct investment amounted to $4.1 million, while portfolio investment earned over $800,000.
The telecommunications sector posted a profit of $2.4 million in February.
