The restoration of diplomatic relations does not mean the end of differences with Iran, Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has said that restoration of diplomatic relations with Iran does not mean the end of all differences with Iran.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said in an interview to the Arab media that Iran and Saudi Arabia want to resolve their differences through dialogue. The MoU between the two countries is a reflection of common aspirations.

He said that restoration of diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia does not mean that all mutual differences have ended. Diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will be restored in the next 2 months. Looking forward to meeting the Iranian counterpart soon.

Saudi Arabia and Iran agreed last Friday in Beijing, the capital of China, to restore relations severed since 2016 and to reopen embassies in each other’s countries within 2 months.
