Violation of code of conduct, 4 more cricketers fined

In the 8th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), 4 more cricketers had to forfeit 10% of their match fee for violating the players’ code of conduct.

Fazlul Haque Farooqui accepted the 10% penalty of the match fee by admitting the mistake.

Earlier, in the match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans on Tuesday night, 3 players were also punished for violating the code of conduct, they had to object to the decisions of the umpires.

Shadab Khan objected to the umpire declaring a ball from Mohammad Wasim as wide in the last over of Multan.

Shadab ran from the boundary line and argued with the umpire, for which he was fined 10 per cent of his match fee, the Islamabad United captain admitting both the fault and the penalty.

Shaan Masood, who objected to the umpire’s decision to not declare a short-pitched ball wide during his batting, was also fined 10 percent of the match fee.

Tim David also expressed displeasure at not declaring a similar ball wide, and was also fined 10%.

When Tim David did not admit fault, a formal hearing was held, in which the match officials upheld the decision of the on-field umpires.
