Talking to Geo News, Sam Billings said that Pakistan Super League is my first franchise tournament, PSL one and two played by Islamabad now Lahore Qalandars have given me a great opportunity to come to Pakistan and play in Lahore. He said that after the ILT Twenty20 in Dubai, he went home for a week, saw family and freshened up, then took a flight to PSL and was immediately available in Lahore for the first match. So you have to be mentally ready and fresh because we play a lot of cricket.

He says that there is a lot of talent in our team, Shaheen Afridi as a captain has impressed me a lot, he is a young fast bowler, technically good captaining, he knows the game very well, learn from him. He has been one of the best bowlers in all three formats.
Sam Billings believes that every league has different challenges, the PSL is very competitive, the highlight of the league is that it faces bowlers with a speed of over 140.
