Chairman Aptma Punjab Hamid Khan says that it is wrong to think that electricity will be saved by closing shops early.
Talking to the media in Lahore, he said that sales increase by 30 to 40 percent during Ramadan, people visit the shops after 7:30 pm.
He complained that the policy is being made without consulting the stakeholders, which will result in a loss of 3000 billion to collect 62 billion.
Hamid Khan further said that the government should withdraw the notification to close the markets early till Eid.
