Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured Najam Sethi of full support and assistance regarding the Pakistan Super League 8 matches to be held in Lahore.
According to the sources, Chairman PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi has contacted the Prime Minister, he has told in the meeting about not giving money for the sake of security.
Najam Sethi has said that HBLPSL is a national event and it is the responsibility of national institutions to organize it, if they do not withdraw from the demand for money, they will be forced to hold the matches in Karachi.
According to the sources, Najam Sethi briefed the Prime Minister about the issue of security expenses.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had not accepted the Punjab government’s offer of Rs 25 crore and had bluntly said that they would not give a single penny for the sake of security. If not filled, PSL matches will be shifted to Karachi from Tuesday.
Caretaker Education Minister Punjab Mansoor Qadir had said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to give its share of 25 crores.
