ANP announces boycott of by-elections


The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced a boycott of the by-elections.

ANP provincial president Amil Wali Khan says that Awami National Party had announced to field candidates in 18 constituencies. However, PDM requested not to participate in the elections.

Amil Wali Khan said that ANP took this decision after allies did not participate in the elections. A so-called political party has made a mockery of electoral politics.

He said that billions of rupees of the nation were wasted by putting one candidate on many seats. A section is busy trying to defy Parliament.

Amil Wali Khan said that spending crores of rupees for 3 months would be excessive in the current economic conditions. Amil Wali Khan said that even if the general elections are announced tomorrow, ANP will be in the field.
