Indian tennis star Sania Mirza's career ends with defeat

Indian star Sania Mirza’s tennis career came to an end with defeat. She crashed out of the event after losing in the first round of her last tournament, the Dubai Championship.

In the first round of the Dubai Championship, Sania Mirza took part in the doubles event with her American teammate.

They were defeated by the Russian pair in straight sets 4-6 and 0-6. With this defeat, Sania Mirza’s 20-year tennis career ended.

The 36-year-old tennis star made her professional tennis debut in 2003. He won 6 Grand Slam trophies.

Sania Mirza won 3 women’s doubles Grand Slam titles with Switzerland’s Martina Hings and two of the three mixed doubles Grand Slam titles with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi.
