The PSX benchmark 100 index closed at 40,949 points at the close of business following this gain.
In the stock market, 96.4 million shares worth 4.6 billion rupees were traded today.
Similarly, the market capitalization has increased by 11 billion rupees to 6 thousand 367 billion rupees.
