Karachi: An appeal against the acquittal of former SSP Malir Rao Anwar and others in the Naqeebullah murder case was filed in the Sindh High Court.
The appeal was filed by Naqeebullah’s brother Sher Alam through his lawyer, arguing that the Special Anti-Terrorism Court had acquitted the accused ignoring the evidence. The decision of the Special Terrorism Court should be annulled.
It should be noted that the Special Anti-Terrorism Court had pronounced the verdict in the Naqeebullah murder case on January 23, 2023, in which the court had acquitted 18 accused including Rao Anwar due to lack of evidence.
