The International Cricket Council (ICC) declared Cape Town’s wicket unsatisfactory.
The Test between India and South Africa in Cape Town was completed in 107 overs.
The ICC says that match referee Chris Broad has declared the pitch unsatisfactory in his report, with both captains also agreeing that the pitch was substandard.
According to the International Cricket Council, a de-Mariet point was imposed on the venue, as the uneven bounce on the pitch was not conducive to batting.
It should be noted that India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second Test match of the series played at Newlands in Cape Town.
The Cape Town Test was decided in a total of 642 balls.
