Corona tests of passengers coming from abroad have started at many airports in Pakistan.
The National Institute of Health has provided Covid testing kits to the Border Health Services Department.
According to the officials of the Federal Ministry of Health, 40,000 rapid diagnostic kits have been given to the Border Health Services Department, covid testing of those coming from outside has started at most of the airports, including Islamabad.
Officials say 2 percent of travelers arriving from abroad will undergo mandatory covid testing, while genome sequencing of a few emerging covid cases is also being done.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health officials, the rate of Covid-19 is less than one percent, while no case of JN1 has been reported.
Border Health Services officials say that testing kits have not yet arrived at Multan and Faisalabad International Airports.
