The former batting coach of Pakistan Cricket Team, Andrew Piotak, has been appointed as the batting coach of the team by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its surprise at this development and said that Pyotak has not yet resigned to the PCB.
South African Andrew Piotic was appointed as the batting coach of the Pakistan team by the PCB in May 2023 for 2 years.
However, after the World Cup, the PCB’s new management committee asked him to report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), since which he has been on leave.
It was reported on Wednesday that the Afghanistan Cricket Board has appointed Andrew Piotka as the batting coach.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that Pyotak did not inform the PCB about his decision, he got this information from the media.
A PCB spokesperson has confirmed that Andrew Piotic has not submitted his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Sources say that the new management committee of the PCB had indicated to the foreign coaches that they were not in their plans but their contracts could not be terminated due to limited options.
