The government has allowed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to work on the broadcasting rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), among other financial matters, after which matters related to the next edition of the PSL have gained momentum. .

The federal government had instructed the management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board in the past few days not to take any decision involving financial matters without the permission of the federal government.

After that, PCB approached the government to sell the broadcasting and other rights of PSL.

PCB sources have confirmed that the board has received the government’s permission on Tuesday after which the technical bids for the Pakistan Super League were opened. The financial bids will be opened next week after which the broadcast rights of the Pakistan Super League will be decided.

Sources also said that a decision on the sale of digital rights will also be taken this week.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also accelerated the preparations for the start of the Pakistan Super League from February 17.

The 9th edition of PSL will start from Lahore on February 17, while its final will be played on March 17 in Karachi.
