After the changes in the coaching team of Quetta Gladiators for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, the change of captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also started to echo.

Franchise owner Nadeem Umar is awaiting a decision from Sarfraz. They say that it would be good if Sarfraz himself decides who has already said that whatever is best for the team should be decided.

Quetta Gladiator had announced to retain Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain in the PSL 9 draft, but franchise owner Nadeem Umar said that he is double-minded about making Sarfaraz the captain.

He said it would be ‘good’ if Sarfraz quits the captaincy of the Gladiators on his own and Sarfraz has agreed to do so if required.

Nadeem Umar said that he has not taken any decision yet but he will give full honor to Sarfraz.

Keep in mind that the Gladiators have also failed to qualify for the playoffs in the past four seasons, finishing last or higher each time.

Quetta Gladiators have also made changes in the coaching staff for PSL 9 where Moin Khan has been appointed as the team director, Shane Watson as the head coach, Sean Tait as the fast bowling coach and South Africa’s Ryan Maroon as the fielding coach.
