University of Karachi has introduced a new four-year degree program called Digital Media Marketing under the Department of Mass Communication with immediate admissions.
In this regard, while addressing the introduction program held at Professor Sarwar Naseem Hall of University of Karachi, Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi said that the credit for introducing this program goes to the faculty of the department. After Nutrition, Sports Degree Management has now introduced Digital Media Marketing program.
He said that the world has changed and technology is essential for global outreach, this program is based on technology.
Dr. Khalid Iraqi said that this is the era of “real data” and now nothing is hidden from anyone, it is thanks to digitalization. He said that it should not be understood that the scope of traditional media has reduced or ended, but traditional media is providing the foundations for digital media, but it all depends on skills and creativity.
Department Chairperson Ismat Ara said that this is the vision of the Vice Chancellor who said that there should be a four-year degree program on Digital Media, Digital Media Marketing will lead our students towards entrepreneurship and our students will be able to To create your own content.
He said that this program is being run in 7 private universities of Karachi, but among the public sector universities, Karachi University is the first university in which this program is being introduced, and a new lab of 10 computers is being built for it.
Asif Iqbal, who belongs to the related industry, said that he has been working in this field for the last 22 years. Highlighting the digital media, he said that now more bloggers and other digital media marketers are called in the programs than the traditional media. On this occasion, he encouraged the students and attracted them by explaining the benefits of the program.
On this occasion, TV actress Misbah Khaliq said that if the students have passion for learning, no obstacle can stop them from moving forward.
