In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a report has come out about the patients of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) registered in 18 years.
According to the report, 6966 HIV patients have been registered in KPK since 2005, 1573 women are also included among the people affected by HIV virus.
According to the report, 107 eunuchs in KP are also suffering from HIV disease.
According to the report, 260 boys and 161 girls in Peshawar are also infected with HIV virus, while the number of HIV patients in Peshawar is 1274.
The report states that the number of HIV patients in tribal districts is 1107.
According to the report, 201 HIV patients from Afghanistan, 58 from Punjab, 34 from Sindh and 11 from Balochistan, 10 from Gilgit-Baltistan and two from Azad Kashmir are registered in KP Hospital.
On the other hand, the Health Department has informed that 6 new centers have been established for diagnosis and treatment of AIDS in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
These centers have been established in Swabi, Mardan, Abbottabad, Para Chinar, Miran Shah and Bajaur after which the number of AIDS diagnosis and treatment centers in the province has increased to 19.
