Pakhtunkhwa;  Appointment of 4 more advisers to the Caretaker Chief Minister

Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has appointed 4 more advisers to Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan, after which the number of provincial advisers has increased to 5.

Among the 4 advisers who have been appointed on the recommendation of the caretaker chief minister, Syed Jafar Hussain Bukhari has been given the portfolio of welfare, Zafar Mahmood has been given the portfolio of tourism and culture, Rahmat Salam Khattak has been given the portfolio of primary and secondary education, while Dr. Abid Jameel has been given the portfolio of health department.

Interior and Information Departments will continue to remain with caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan. Constitutionally, the caretaker chief minister can appoint 5 advisers, in which Sahakullah Khan has already been appointed as an adviser and has been given portfolios of finance and energy and power departments.

According to the constitution, the number of cabinet members including the chief minister can be 16, in which there is scope to add one minister after relieving Khushdil Khan Malik.
